Music Career
Getting Started
Rylo Rodriguez started his music career by working with Lil Baby on popular songs like "Eat Or Starve" and "Stick On Me". His early music often took well-known pop and R&B songs and used them to tell stories about his own life.
For example, his song "Project Baby" was based on Mariah Carey's hit "Always Be My Baby". Another song, "Valentines," used a sample from Tamia's song "Can't Get Enough". In 2018, he also released a mixtape called Rogerville with another rapper from Mobile, NoCap.
Major Success
In 2020, Rylo Rodriguez officially joined Lil Baby's record label, which was then called 4 Pockets Full (4PF). He was also featured on the song "Forget That" from Lil Baby's album My Turn.
Later that year, on November 27, 2020, he released his first studio album, G.I.H.F. (Goat In Human Form). The album was very popular. It helped him reach number 2 on the Rolling Stone Breakthrough 25 chart, which tracks new and rising artists.
In 2021, Rylo was a featured artist on the song "5500 Degrees" by rapper EST Gee, along with Lil Baby and 42 Dugg. The song reached number 92 on the Billboard Hot 100, which was the first time Rylo's name appeared on that important chart.
