Rhiza "Ryza" Ann Cenon Simbulan (born December 21, 1987) is a talented Filipino actress, dancer, model, and painter.
In 2004, she won the title of Ultimate Female Survivor on the second season of StarStruck, a popular TV show on GMA Network. After her win, Ryza appeared in many TV shows. Some of these include Darna, Majika, Fantastikids, and Alyas Robin Hood.
In 2016, Ryza starred as Jewel in the movie Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B. In December 2016, she became very well-known for her role as Georgia Acuzar-Ferrer in the TV show Ika-6 na Utos.

About Ryza Cenon
Early Life and School
Ryza Cenon was born Rhiza Ann Cenon Simbulan on December 21, 1987. She was born in Gapan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Ryza was the younger of two children.
Her mother, Rosanna C. Simbulan, passed away in 1991 when Ryza was only three years old. Ryza's father worked overseas in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Ryza lived with her grandmother for most of her childhood. After her mother's death, she and her grandmother stayed in Gapan. They later moved to Laguna. Ryza moved to Malabon City when her father remarried. She then moved to Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija after her father and stepmother separated. A few years later, she moved back to her grandmother's home in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Ryza finished elementary and high school at the Augustinian School of Cabuyao in Laguna. She later studied at the AMA Computer Learning Center. She graduated as a computer programmer.
Ryza's Career Journey
Winning StarStruck in 2004
In 2004, Ryza Cenon joined GMA Network's reality talent show, StarStruck. She became the Ultimate Female Survivor of StarStruck season 2. Mike Tan won as the Ultimate Male Survivor. Both received 1,000,000 pesos and contracts with GMA Network. After winning, Ryza performed on the musical show SOP Gigsters.
Starting Her Acting Career (2005–2010)
Ryza Cenon began her acting career with GMA Network in 2005. She played Mae in Now and Forever. In the same year, she joined the cast of Darna. Ryza played Louella, a character who wanted revenge on Darna. Darna was a very popular show.
In 2006, Ryza appeared in Majika with Angel Locsin and Dennis Trillo. She played Pria / Sara, the younger sister of Sabina. After Majika, she starred in the movie Lovestruck (2006). She won the New Movie Actress of the Year award for this role. She also played Anabelle in the fantasy series Fantastikids.
In 2008, Ryza starred in Joaquin Bordado with Robin Padilla. She played Cecile, a character who was angry at the person who caused her blindness. Ryza also played many supporting roles from 2007 to 2010. She was the superheroine Wena / Fantastic Girl in Fantastic Man (2007). She also played Abril Del Castillo in Rosalinda (2009).
Key Roles (2011–2016)
In 2011, Ryza Cenon played Mia Valencia in I Heart You, Pare!. Her second project that year was a villain role in Machete. She played Marla Lucero, an ambitious character.
The next year, she appeared in the drama series Legacy. Ryza played Juliet, a very ambitious best friend. After Legacy, she played another villain, Ashley Alvarez, in Luna Blanca: Ang Ikalawang Yugto (Book 2).
Ryza appeared in three TV series in 2013. She played Olga Villavicer / Sandra Sebastian in Sana ay Ikaw na Nga. She also played Isabel Alonso in the fantasy series Indio. Her third series was Adarna, where she played Mikay.
In 2015, Ryza was a supporting actress in three GMA Network drama series. These included Mariel in Second Chances and Margarita "Rita" Barcial in Kailan Ba Tama ang Mali?.
Ryza's acting career grew a lot in 2016. She starred with Martin del Rosario in Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B. This independent film was directed by Prime Cruz. Ryza played Jewel, a lonely manananggal who falls in love. This role was considered her first mature role.
In December 2016, Ryza starred in Ika-6 na Utos with Sunshine Dizon and Gabby Concepcion. Ryza played the main villain, Georgia Ferrer / Athena Francisco. Her character was described as a strong and clever femme fatale. Ryza was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for this role. On December 8, 2017, she won her first Best Supporting Actress award. She also received the TV Supporting Actress of the Year award in 2018.
Ryza also appeared as a hotel attendant named Ruth in the fantasy-comedy film Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers (2016).
New Agencies and Networks (2017-2018)
On June 15, 2017, after 13 years with GMA Artist Center, Ryza Cenon signed a contract with Viva Artist Agency. In 2017, she starred with JC Santos in Mr. and Mrs. Cruz. The movie was released in January 2018. Ryza won the Yakushi Pearl Award at the Osaka Asian Film Festival 2018 for her performance.
On April 12, 2018, Ryza Cenon signed a contract with ABS-CBN. Her first project there was FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. She played Aubrey Hidalgo, the daughter of President Oscar Hidalgo. She also played a main role as Jessica De Leon in The General's Daughter.

SH3 Trio
In January 2010, Ryza Cenon, along with LJ Reyes and Chynna Ortaleza, formed a singing and dancing group called SH3. The group performed on the Sunday variety show SOP Rules. The group later disbanded in the same year.
Ryza's Personal Life
In an interview in 2017, Ryza shared that she had experienced depression. She found painting to be a helpful way to cope with it. Her first painting exhibit, Independencia: Ang Panimula, was held in San Juan City on June 19, 2016. Most of her paintings were abstract.
Besides painting, Ryza enjoys archery. She is also interested in cooking. In 2015, she studied at the Center for Culinary Arts, Manila. This was after she successfully opened her food business, PaBurrito.
Ryza Cenon announced in July 2020 that she was expecting a baby with her boyfriend, cinematographer Miguel Antonio Cruz. On October 31, 2020, Ryza and Miguel welcomed their son, Night.
