SModcast is a fun weekly podcast hosted by filmmaker Kevin Smith and his friend Scott Mosier. A podcast is like a radio show you can listen to online whenever you want! Each episode usually comes out on Sunday nights or Monday mornings. They are about an hour long. Kevin and Scott talk about things happening in the world and other random, funny topics that don't always connect.
The name "SModcast" comes from the first letters of "Smith" and "Mosier." They just changed the "P" in "podcast" to "SM." The show first started on Kevin Smith's website, Quick Stop Entertainment. New episodes were available there first. Later, they moved to their own website, SModcast.com, in 2010. This made it easier for everyone to listen. In 2009, a book called Shootin' the Sh*t with Kevin Smith was released. It featured some of Kevin's favorite SModcast conversations.
Who Appears on SModcast?
Most of the time, Kevin Smith and Scott Mosier are the hosts. But sometimes, Scott can't be there. When that happens, other people step in to host with Kevin. Guests also join the show even when both Kevin and Scott are there. Many interesting people have been on SModcast over the years.
