Journey of the Sachigo River
The Sachigo River starts its journey at a place called Broadside Lake. From there, it flows towards the northeast. Along its path, the river passes through Pasateko Lake. It also flows by the Sachigo Hills, which are small mountains in the area.
Key Stops Along the River
The river then reaches Sachigo Lake. This lake is important because it is home to the Sachigo Lake First Nation community. You can also find the Sachigo Lake Airport near the lake. At Sachigo Lake, another river, the Morrison River, joins the Sachigo River from the right side.
After Sachigo Lake, the river continues its journey north. It flows past the Wetiko Hills. Then, it reaches Little Sachigo Lake. The river leaves this lake by flowing east, and then it turns northeast again.
River Branches and Final Destination
Further along, the Sachigo River splits into two separate branches. The Sherman River joins the left branch of the Sachigo. After a while, the two branches of the Sachigo River come back together. The river keeps flowing northeast until it reaches its end. It flows into the Severn River, which then carries its waters all the way to Hudson Bay.
