Sally Jane Dynevor (born May 30, 1963) is a famous English actress. She is most well-known for playing Sally Metcalfe in the TV show Coronation Street. She has been on the show since 1986. In 2022, Sally also competed in the TV show Dancing on Ice.

Early Life
Sally Dynevor was born on May 30, 1963. Her parents are Robert and Jennifer Whittaker. She was born in a place called Middleton, which is in Lancashire, England.
Her Acting Career
Sally Dynevor studied acting at the Oldham Repertory Theatre. She also trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. In 1985, she appeared in a TV series called Juliet Bravo.
She is famous for her role as Sally Metcalfe (originally Sally Seddon) in the TV show Coronation Street. She first appeared on the show in January 1986. She has been a part of the show ever since.
Sally has won several awards for her acting.

Sally Dynevor married scriptwriter Tim Dynevor. They got married on September 9, 1995. They have three children. Their daughters, Phoebe Dynevor and Hattie Dynevor, have also acted. They appeared in the BBC drama series Waterloo Road.
In November 2009, Sally was diagnosed with breast cancer. She received treatment and took a break from Coronation Street. She returned to the show in July 2010 after six months. Both Sally and her character made full recoveries.
Since 1999, Sally Dynevor has been an ambassador for ActionAid. This is a charity that helps people around the world. She has traveled to India to support their work. She also represented the charity on the game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.
Sally Dynevor was given a special honor in 2021. She was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE). This award was for her services to drama. She received her medal at Windsor Castle on February 2, 2022.
