Phoebe Harriet Dynevor (born April 17, 1995) is an English actress. She is well-known for her roles in films like The Colour Room (2021) and Fair Play (2023). She also starred in the first two seasons of the popular TV show Bridgerton (2020–2022). In 2024, she was nominated for a special award called the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
Phoebe began her acting career as a child. Her first big role was in the BBC school drama Waterloo Road (2009–2010). Later, she had important roles in other TV shows. These included Prisoners' Wives (2012–2013) and Dickensian (2015–2016). She also appeared in the comedy-drama Younger (2017–2021) and the crime series Snatch (2017–2018).

Phoebe Harriet Dynevor was born on April 17, 1995. She grew up in Trafford, a part of Greater Manchester, England. Her dad, Tim Dynevor, is a writer for TV shows. Her mom, Sally Dynevor, is also a well-known actress. Phoebe's grandparents, Shirley and Gerard Dynevor, also worked in television. She has two younger siblings, a brother named Samuel and a sister named Hattie.
Phoebe went to Oakfield Nursery School when she was little. Later, she attended Cheadle Hulme School in Stockport.
Acting Career Highlights
Starting Out in Television (2009–2019)
In 2009, when Phoebe was 14, she got her first acting job. She played Siobhan Mailey in the fifth season of Waterloo Road. After that, she appeared in other British dramas. These included Monroe and The Musketeers. She also had a supporting role in the BBC drama Prisoners' Wives. In this show, she played Lauren, the daughter of a gangster.
In 2014, Phoebe appeared in the second season of The Village. From 2015 to 2016, she played Martha Cratchit in the TV series Dickensian.
In 2016, it was announced that Phoebe would star in an American TV series. It was a crime comedy called Snatch. She acted alongside Luke Pasqualino and Rupert Grint. This was her first time acting in an American TV show. The series came out in 2017 and was popular enough for a second season. In 2017, Phoebe also joined the cast of Younger. She played Clare, who was the fiancée of a character named Josh.
Becoming a Star and Film Roles (2020–Present)
In 2019, Phoebe was chosen for a very important role. She played Daphne Bridgerton in the first season of Bridgerton. This show is a Netflix period drama produced by Shonda Rhimes. It is based on a popular book series. The first season of Bridgerton came out in December 2020 and became a huge hit.
Phoebe returned for the show's second season in 2022. Her character, Daphne, was now married and known as Daphne Basset. In January 2023, Phoebe shared that she would not be in season 3. However, she said she might come back to the show in the future.
Phoebe also started acting in movies. Her first main movie role was in 2021. She played the artist Clarice Cliff in the biographical film The Colour Room. In April 2022, Phoebe appeared as a fictional version of herself. This was in an episode of the British show Ten Percent on Amazon Prime.

Phoebe is an ambassador for ActionAid UK. This organization helps women and girls who live in poverty around the world. She also practices something called Transcendental Meditation every day.
In early 2023, it was confirmed that Phoebe was dating American actor and producer Cameron Fuller. Cameron is the son of producer Brad Fuller. In May 2024, Phoebe and Cameron announced that they were engaged to be married.
