Joe Duttine (born Jonathan Duttine on June 30, 1970) is a well-known British actor from Halifax, England. He has appeared in many TV shows and films. You might know him best as Tim Metcalfe in the popular TV show Coronation Street. He also played Cameron Donnelly in Shameless.

Growing Up and Learning to Act
Joe Duttine was born in Halifax. His father, Geoffrey, is the brother of another actor, John Duttine. To avoid confusion with his famous uncle, 'Johnny' (Joe's real first name) decided to use 'Joe' as his acting name.
Joe moved to London to follow his dream of acting. From 1989 to 1992, he studied at the Drama Centre London. There, he learned a special acting method called the Stanislavski's system. This method helps actors truly understand and become their characters. He studied alongside actors like Craig Kelly and John Simm.

Joe Duttine started his TV acting career in 1992. His first role was in the TV series Between the Lines. Since then, he has appeared in more than 25 different TV shows.
Early TV Roles and Guest Appearances
He played Steve Turner in 21 episodes of Pie in the Sky from 1994 to 1995. He also appeared with Martin Kemp in Serious and Organised as D.C. Tony Finn. Joe played Craig Tate in an episode of Silent Witness.
Other guest roles include Malcolm Cox in Life on Mars (2006) and Toby Wilson in HolbyBlue (2008). He also played DS Carr in Coronation Street and a miner named Colin Farr in an episode of Dalziel and Pascoe.
Well-Known Roles in Popular Shows
Joe Duttine has appeared in Waterloo Road as Andy Harker. He is also known for his role as Cameron Donnelly in Shameless.
In 2013, he returned to Coronation Street as Tim Metcalfe. Tim is the father of Faye Windass, and Joe has been a regular on the show ever since. He was also cast as Rutter in the big BBC series The Village.
