The San Felipe de Aconcagua Province (which in Spanish is Provincia de San Felipe de Aconcagua) is a special area in central Chile. It is one of eight provinces in the Valparaíso Region. The main city and capital of this province is San Felipe.

How San Felipe de Aconcagua is Governed
San Felipe de Aconcagua is a part of Chile's government system. It is managed by a person called a provincial delegate. This delegate is chosen by the President of Chile. They help make sure things run smoothly in the province.

The province is made up of six smaller areas called communes. In Spanish, these are known as comunas. Each commune has its own local government. This government includes an alcalde (who is like a mayor) and a group called a municipal council.

Based on a count from 2002, about 131,911 people lived in San Felipe de Aconcagua. This made it the fifth most populated province in its region.
Most people, about 98,925, lived in cities and towns. The remaining 32,986 people lived in the countryside. The count also showed that there were 65,090 men and 66,821 women living in the province at that time.
