Saratoga is a lovely suburb on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. It's like a small town, located on a piece of land surrounded by water called a peninsula. This peninsula sticks out into Brisbane Water. Many houses are built along the water's edge and climb up the hills, making it a beautiful place to live.

Saratoga is found in the middle part of its peninsula. It shares borders with Davistown towards the tip and Yattalunga closer to the mainland.

History of Saratoga

Long ago, the area where Saratoga is now was used by Indigenous peoples. Later, in 1863, a European family led by John Bourke settled here. They started growing citrus fruits, like oranges and lemons. John Bourke became a very important person in growing citrus fruits for sale around Brisbane Water.

Over time, more buildings appeared. A famous house called 'Rosemount' was built in 1917. It's a beautiful old house that you can still see today. In recent years, many new houses have been built. This has turned Saratoga into a busy residential suburb of Gosford. Because it's surrounded by water on three sides, Saratoga is also a popular spot for fishing and water sports.
