The Mystery of the Blue Falcon
Scooby and Shaggy convince their friends to go to a huge comic book convention in California. It's called "Mega Mondo Pop! Comic ConApalooza." They want to enter a costume contest dressed as their favorite superheroes: Blue Falcon and Dynomutt.
Fred is super excited to see the new, darker Blue Falcon movie. It's made by Jennifer Severin and stars Brad Adams as the new hero. At the convention, the gang meets Hank Prince, who owns a comic book store. They also meet Hank's nephew, Austin.
Meeting the Original Blue Falcon
The gang finds Owen Garrison, the actor who played the original Blue Falcon. They want his autograph, but he's upset. He complains that the studio wants to erase all memory of his old show. He thinks they only care about the new movie.
During a sneak peek of the new movie's trailer, something scary happens. A monster appears! Shaggy and Scooby recognize it as Mr. Hyde, a villain from the original Blue Falcon show. Mr. Hyde unleashes a swarm of bats, causing chaos. The gang quickly offers to help solve this mystery.
Investigating Mr. Hyde
The next day, the gang returns to the convention. They are waiting for Mr. Hyde to strike again. They meet Jack Rabble, a former robot fighting champion. He now signs autographs for a living.
Fred, Daphne, and Velma think Owen Garrison might be the villain. But Shaggy and Scooby refuse to believe their hero is bad. They show the others security footage from around the convention. The footage shows other possible suspects.
Jennifer Severin is seen bragging about how the Mr. Hyde attack has made her movie more popular. Brad Adams talks about how he dislikes his role. He hopes the incident will make people forget about him so he can quit. Austin also tells them that Mr. Hyde's attacks are based on old Blue Falcon episodes. He says Mr. Hyde uses green ooze to turn people into monsters.
Mr. Hyde's Big Attack
Scooby and Shaggy run into the storage rooms. They find Mr. Hyde’s secret hideout there. Mr. Hyde chases them onto a giant Frankenstein Jr. balloon. He uses the balloon to fly across the city. He then drops his green ooze all over the town, hitting Scooby, Shaggy, and even the mayor! The mayor is very angry and fires the gang from the case.
Later, they hear on the news that the movie premiere will now be at the baseball stadium. The gang heads back to the convention center. Austin helps them get inside.
The Final Showdown
With Jack Rabble’s help, Fred, Velma, and Daphne find Mr. Hyde’s hideout. They discover he has cameras all over the convention center and the stadium. From there, they see a giant Mr. Hyde causing trouble at the stadium.
Meanwhile, Scooby and Shaggy are looking for food. They see people running from the stadium. They run inside and find the giant Mr. Hyde chasing Austin. Scooby remembers his superhero spirit and rushes to help. He and Shaggy save Austin, but Mr. Hyde kicks them out.
Fred, Velma, and Daphne arrive. They manage to bring down the giant Hyde. They find out it was a huge robot, and Owen Garrison was inside! They think he was Mr. Hyde all along. But Garrison says someone knocked him out and put him in the robot.
Scooby and Shaggy then see the real Mr. Hyde stealing an armored truck. Scooby chases him, causing the truck to crash into the robot. Mr. Hyde unleashes his Hideous Hyde Hound on Scooby. But Owen Garrison puts on his old Blue Falcon uniform! He saves Scooby and destroys the hound using the Falcon Car. He stops Mr. Hyde from getting away.
The Villain Revealed
The gang unmasks Mr. Hyde. It turns out to be Jack Rabble! He explains why he did it. He was kicked out of a robot combat league when one of his robots went crazy. After that, he had to sign autographs to make money. He planned to get revenge.
He became Mr. Hyde to attack the convention. This forced the movie premiere to move to the stadium. Then, he knocked out Garrison and put him in the robot to frame him. The attack would make the armored truck take a different route. This would let him steal the convention's $5,000,000 entrance fees!
After Rabble is arrested, Jennifer Severin is impressed by all the action. She decides to make a sequel to the Blue Falcon film. In the new movie, Owen Garrison plays the father of Brad Adams' Blue Falcon. And guess who plays Dynomutt? Scooby-Doo!
