History of Searingtown
The first Searingtown Methodist Church opened its doors way back in 1788. This historic church was built on I.U. Willets Road. Some parts of the original building are still there today. Even though the church is still in its first spot, it is now considered to be in the nearby community of Albertson.

In 2000, there were 5,034 people living in Searingtown. About 1,582 households and 1,430 families made their homes here. The population density was about 5,473 people per square mile.

There are no train lines that go directly through Searingtown. However, residents can use nearby Long Island Rail Road stations. These include Manhasset (on the Port Washington Branch), New Hyde Park (on the Main Line), and Albertson (on the Oyster Bay Branch).
