Seven Points is a small city in the state of Texas, USA. It is located in both Henderson and Kaufman counties. In 2020, the city had a population of 1,370 people.
The city gets its unique name from a place where seven different roads meet. These roads are not old trails from the American Old West. The town itself is quite new. It only started to grow after the Cedar Creek Reservoir was built in the 1960s. Seven Points officially became a city in the 1970s. The seven roads include two state highways, a farm-to-market road, and three county roads.

Exploring Seven Points' Location
Seven Points is found in the northwestern part of Henderson County. A small section of the city actually reaches north into Kaufman County along Seven Points Road. This road is also known as Texas State Highway 274.
Nearby Towns and Highways
Highway 274 goes north about 9 miles (14 km) to a town called Kemp. If you travel southeast on Highway 274, you will reach Trinidad, which is about 14 miles (23 km) away. Another road, Texas State Highway 334, also called East Cedar Creek Parkway, goes east from Seven Points. It crosses the Cedar Creek Reservoir and leads to Gun Barrel City, about 4 miles (6 km) away. The main city of Henderson County, Athens, is about 24 miles (39 km) southeast of Seven Points.
