Seven Springs is a small town in Wayne County, North Carolina, United States. It is located right next to the Neuse River. In 2012, about 111 people lived there. The town is part of the larger Goldsboro, North Carolina area.

History of Seven Springs
How the Town Started
The town was first officially created in 1855. It was called Whitehall back then. This name honored William Whitefield, a local landowner who had a home built in 1741.
The Civil War Battle
In December 1862, during the American Civil War, a battle took place near the town. It was called the Battle of White Hall.
Changing Names and a Resort
In 1881, the community was officially named White Hall again. That same year, a special hotel and resort opened. This resort attracted visitors to seven natural mineral springs nearby. People believed the water from these springs had health benefits. The resort stayed open until 1944. In 1951, the town changed its name to Seven Springs, which it is still called today.
Population Changes Over Time
Seven Springs had its largest population in 1960, with 207 residents. In 1999, Hurricane Floyd caused the Neuse River to flood badly. This flood caused the town's population to drop by half. More hurricanes, like Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and Hurricane Florence in 2018, also caused problems. By 2020, only 55 people lived in Seven Springs. Many shops on the main street were empty after these storms.
