Shannon Evans II (born July 19, 1994) is an American-Guinean basketball player. He plays as a Point guard for MoraBanc Andorra in the Liga ACB. Before becoming a professional, he played college basketball for Buffalo and Arizona State. His nickname is Shannito.

Shannon Evans' Early Life
Shannon Evans grew up loving sports. He played football as a cornerback and receiver. He also played center field in baseball. But basketball was always his favorite sport.
At Nansemond River High School, Shannon played for coach Ed Young. He joined the main team as a sophomore. Later, he was sent to the junior varsity team. As a junior, he started the season on the bench. But after scoring 27 points in his first start, he became a regular starter.
After high school, Shannon needed to improve his test scores for a college scholarship. So, he went to Hargrave Military Academy for an extra year. His family helped him pay for his studies. Even before his first game there, he received scholarship offers. He decided to play for Buffalo.
College Basketball Journey
Playing for the Buffalo Bulls
At the University of Buffalo, Shannon averaged 8.5 points per game. In his second year, he was even better. He averaged 15.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game. He also shot 38 percent from the three-point line. Shannon helped the Buffalo Bulls reach their first-ever NCAA Tournament. For his great performance, he was named to the Second-team All-MAC.
Moving to Arizona State
After his second year at Buffalo, his coach, Bobby Hurley, moved to Arizona State. Shannon decided to follow him. In his junior year, he was the second-highest scorer on the team. He averaged 15.0 points per game. He was also fifth in his conference for assists, with 4.4 per game.
Shannon started his senior year strong. He scored 22 points in a big win against Xavier. Two weeks later, he scored 22 points again in a win against Kansas. This earned him the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week award. He finished his senior year averaging 16.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.5 assists. He led Arizona State to the NCAA Tournament. He was also recognized as Honorable Mention All-Pac-12.
Shannon Evans' Professional Career
Starting in Hungary: Atomerőmű SE (2018–2020)
After college, Shannon was not chosen in the 2018 NBA draft. However, he played for the Houston Rockets in the NBA Summer League. In August 2018, he signed with Atomerőmű SE in Hungary. In his first year, he played in thirteen games. He averaged 15.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists. In his second year, he averaged 18 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.
Playing in France: Pau-Orthez (2020)
In June 2020, Shannon signed with Pau-Orthez in France. In November, he was named player of the week. He scored 27 points and had 11 assists in a game. He played in five games for Pau-Orthez. He averaged 21.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 8.4 assists.
Time in Turkey: Bahçeşehir Koleji (2020–2021)
In November 2020, Shannon moved to Turkey. He signed with Bahçeşehir Koleji in the Turkish Basketball Super League. He played in eighteen games for the team. He averaged 11 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 4.2 assists.
Back to Spain: Coosur Real Betis (2021–2023)
In August 2021, Shannon signed with Real Betis Baloncesto in Spain's Liga ACB. During the 2022-2023 season, he was the top scorer in the Liga ACB. He averaged 21 points per game.
Short Stays in Spain and China (2023)
In January 2023, Shannon joined Valencia in Spain. He also played in the EuroLeague. He averaged 5.5 points and 2.3 assists in 12 EuroLeague games. In June 2023, his contract with Valencia ended. Later in 2023, he played for the Beijing Ducks in China.
Return to Spain: Joventut Badalona (2024)
In January 2024, Shannon signed with Joventut Badalona in the Spanish Liga ACB.
Current Team: MoraBanc Andorra (2024–present)
On June 27, 2024, Shannon signed with MoraBanc Andorra in the Spanish Liga ACB. He averaged 13.9 points and 4.7 assists per game. He extended his contract with the team on July 9, 2025.
