Sharrod Victor Ford, born on September 9, 1982, is an American who used to play professional basketball. He played for a short time in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also played in many other top basketball leagues around the world.

Sharrod's Early Basketball Days
Playing at Clemson University
Sharrod Ford went to Clemson University from 2001 to 2005. While at Clemson, he became a very important player. He was the first player from his school to lead his team in both points and rebounds for two years in a row. This had not happened since Horace Grant did it in the 1980s.
Sharrod's Professional Basketball Career
Starting in the NBA
After college, Sharrod Ford was not chosen in the 2005 NBA draft. However, on November 2, 2005, he signed a contract with the Phoenix Suns. He played in three NBA games before leaving the team on December 24, 2005.
Playing in the NBA D-League and Germany
On January 10, 2006, Sharrod joined the Fayetteville Patriots. This team was part of the NBA D-League, which is now called the G League. He played 15 games for the Patriots. In February 2006, he moved to Germany. He signed with a team called Alba Berlin for the rest of that season. With Alba Berlin, he helped them win the German Basketball Cup in 2006. He signed with Alba Berlin again for another season on July 31, 2006.
Playing in Italy and Russia
For the 2007–08 season, Sharrod signed with an Italian team, Sutor Basket Montegranaro. The next season, 2008–09, he moved to another Italian team, Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna. With Virtus Bologna, he won the 2008–09 FIBA EuroChallenge. This was a big championship for European basketball teams.
On September 18, 2009, he signed with BC Spartak Saint Petersburg in Russia. He left Spartak on November 16, 2009. On January 10, 2010, he went back to Italy. He signed with Basket Club Ferrara for the rest of that season. On July 19, 2010, he returned to his old team, Sutor Montegranaro, for the 2010–11 season.
More Teams and Championships
On July 21, 2011, Sharrod signed with Bayern Munich. However, he left the team before the season started. In February 2012, he joined the Erie BayHawks in the NBA D-League again. He played only 6 games before leaving.
On August 20, 2012, he signed with the German team Brose Baskets. With Brose Baskets, he had a very successful time. He helped them win the 2012–13 Basketball Bundesliga championship in 2013. They also won the 2013 BBL Champions Cup. He signed with Brose Baskets for another season on July 29, 2013.
Playing in France and Turkey
On June 30, 2014, Sharrod signed a one-year deal with Paris-Levallois Basket in France. On April 16, 2015, he was chosen for the All-EuroCup Second Team. This was because he played very well, scoring about 15.1 points and getting 8.8 rebounds per game.
On July 24, 2015, he signed with Acıbadem Üniversitesi S.K. in Turkey. This team played in the Turkish Basketball Second League. He signed with Acıbadem Üniversitesi again for one more season on August 3, 2016. He finished his professional basketball career in 2017.
