Early Life and Career Beginnings

Shawnee Kish grew up in Welland, Ontario. When she was young, she started her singing journey by performing songs by the famous Canadian singer Shania Twain. As an adult, she moved to Edmonton, Alberta, where she continues to live and make music.

Music Competitions and Recognition

In 2020, Shawnee Kish won a big music competition called Searchlight, organized by CBC Music. This win helped her get noticed. The next year, in 2021, she was chosen as one of the winners of the Allan Slaight Juno Master Class program. This program helps new artists grow and develop their musical skills.
