Sheryl Dayana Rubio Rojas (born December 28, 1992) is a talented Venezuelan actress, singer, model, dancer, songwriter, and fashion designer. She became well-known for playing Sheryl in the TV series Somos tú y yo on Boomerang Latin America. Since 2018, she has also starred as Lucia Davila in the Netflix series The House of Flowers.

Early Life and Beginnings
Sheryl Rubio was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Her parents are Oscar Rubio and Damaris Rojas. She went to school at Colegio San Jose de Tarbes in Caracas. Sheryl has shared that she faced bullying in school. When she was seven years old, she became very interested in acting. She started her career by taking on small roles on television.
Sheryl's Acting Career
Starting Out in TV
Sheryl Rubio began her acting journey in 1999. She first appeared in many commercials. Then, she moved into television shows. Her first acting role was in the telenovela Amantes de Luna Llena in 2000. She was 8 years old and played a character named Angela Rigores.
In 2001, she played Micaela Benavides in the telenovela La Soberana. The next year, in 2002, Sheryl got her first main role. She played Renata Antoni Diaz in La niña de mis ojos.
Becoming a Star in Somos tú y yo
In 2005, when she was 11, Sheryl started working on the TV show Atómico. In 2006, auditions began for Somos tú y yo. Producers were looking for the perfect main actress. Sheryl impressed them with her confidence. She was chosen to play Sheryl Sanchez in the series.
The show was made by Boomerang and Venevisión. It was shown in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Somos tú y yo first aired on June 27, 2007, in Venezuela. It then premiered on Boomerang in Latin America and Europe on January 15, 2008. The series ended on December 15, 2008, with many viewers. In 2008, the cast went on tour in Venezuela. They performed songs from the show. After the show ended, an album of songs from the series was released.
Continuing the Story
In January 2009, Sheryl starred in the third season of the show. It was called Somos tú y yo: Un nuevo día. She played both Sheryl Sanchez and Candy. This season was inspired by the American movie Grease. It premiered on August 17, 2009, on Boomerang.
In January 2010, Sheryl returned as Sheryl Sanchez in NPS: No puede ser. This series was a spin-off and the final part of the Somos tú y yo story. It premiered in Venezuela on July 25, 2010. Later, it aired on Boomerang on November 8, 2010. That same year, she played Sofia Carlota in the telenovela La viuda joven.
New Roles and Growth
In 2011, Sheryl played Stefany Miller in the telenovela Mi ex me tiene ganas. This show premiered on May 16, 2012. Sheryl's performance in this role was praised. It showed her growth as an actress in more mature characters. Also in 2011, Sheryl was a judge for the Miss Teen Aruba International 2012 beauty contest.
In 2012, she sang on the song "Quiero que vuelvas" with Lasso. In 2013, Sheryl performed live shows in Caracas and Maracaibo. She performed a monologue called "Sheryl's Confession."

Sheryl Rubio started her modeling career in 2001. She appeared in commercials for brands like Hang Ten, Toddy, Frescolita, and Coca-Cola. In 2005, she was the face of Always.
From 2013 to 2016, she was the main model for the Pavitas shoe brand. In 2013, Sheryl supported an animal adoption campaign. She lent her image to help promote it. Also in 2013, Sheryl worked on the Yakera campaign for the Melao clothing brand. She visited Delta Amacuro, Venezuela, and shared photos with the local indigenous community. From 2011 to October 2018, she dated Venezuelan singer Lasso.
On September 8, 2020, she got engaged to Lucas Wade Shapiro. He is an American orthodontic specialist. They started their relationship in January 2019. They had a civil wedding in New York City on October 24, 2020. A bigger celebration took place in Mexico on April 2, 2022.
On August 26, 2024, Sheryl announced she was expecting a baby. On September 1, she shared that she was having a girl. Her daughter, Remi, was born on November 16.
