Sheryl Dayana Rubio Rojas (born December 28, 1992) is a talented Venezuelan actress, singer, model, dancer, songwriter, and fashion designer. She became well-known for playing Sheryl in the Boomerang Latin America TV series Somos tú y yo. Since 2018, Sheryl has also starred as Lucía Davila in the Netflix series The House of Flowers.

Early Life and Beginnings
Sheryl Rubio was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Her parents are Oscar Rubio and Damaris Rojas. She had an older sister, Damaris Belmonte.
Sheryl went to school at Colegio San Jose de Tarbes in Caracas. She has shared that she wasn't very popular and was even bullied during her school years. When she was seven years old, she became interested in acting. She started her career with small roles on television.
Acting Career
Sheryl began her acting journey in 1999. She first appeared in several commercials before moving to television shows. Her acting debut was in the telenovela Amantes de Luna Llena in 2000. She was 8 years old and played the character Angela Rigores.
In 2001, she played Micaela Benavides in the telenovela La Soberana. The next year, in 2002, Sheryl got her first main role on TV. She played Renata Antoni Diaz in La niña de mis ojos.
Rise to Fame with Somos tú y yo
In 2005, at age 11, Sheryl started working on the TV show Atómico. In 2006, auditions began for Somos tú y yo. Producers were looking for the main star of the series. Sheryl impressed them with her confidence and was chosen for the lead role of Sheryl Sanchez.
The series was a joint project between Boomerang and Venevisión. It was shown in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Somos tú y yo first aired in Venezuela on June 27, 2007. It premiered on Boomerang in Latin America and Europe on January 15, 2008. The show ended on December 15, 2008, with a large audience of about 9.8 million viewers.
In 2008, the cast went on tour in Venezuela, performing songs from the series. After the show ended in 2009, an album with ten songs from the series was released. It was called Somos tú y yo: un nuevo día.
Continuing Roles
In January 2009, Sheryl starred in the third season of the series, titled Somos tú y yo: Un nuevo día. She played both Sheryl Sanchez and Candy. This season was inspired by the American movie Grease. It premiered on August 17, 2009, on Boomerang.
In January 2010, she returned as Sheryl Sanchez in the series NPS: No puede ser. This show was a second spin-off of Somos tú y yo and marked the end of the series. It first aired in Venezuela on July 25, 2010, and on Boomerang on November 8, 2010.
That same year, Sheryl played Sofia Carlota in the telenovela La viuda joven. This show was based on the Spanish Carmen Cervera story. It premiered on March 16, 2011.
In 2011, she played Stefany Miller in the telenovela Mi ex me tiene ganas. This show premiered on May 16, 2012, and ended on December 5, 2012. Sheryl received good reviews for her role, which showed her growth as an actress in a more mature character. Also in 2011, Sheryl was a judge for the Miss Teen Aruba International 2012 beauty contest.
In 2012, she sang on the song "Quiero que vuelvas" with Lasso. In 2013, Sheryl performed live shows in Caracas and Maracaibo. She delivered a monologue called "Sheryl's Confession."
In January 2014, she appeared in the telenovela Corazón Esmeralda. Sheryl's character in the show was a singer-songwriter, and she performed several songs. The telenovela premiered on March 3, 2014. That same year, Sheryl worked with the clothing company Melao to create her own clothing line.

From 2013 to 2016, she was the main model for the Pavitas shoe brand. In 2013, Sheryl supported an animal adoption campaign called "Supporting Good Causes." She lent her image to help promote the foundation. In 2013, Sheryl also worked on the Yakera campaign for the Melao clothing brand in Delta Amacuro, Venezuela. Sheryl Rubio has been living in New York City, United States since 2020. She speaks both English and Spanish fluently.
From 2011 to October 2018, she dated Venezuelan singer Lasso.
On September 8, 2020, she got engaged to Lucas Wade Shapiro, an American orthodontic specialist. They started their relationship in January 2019. On October 24, 2020, they had a civil wedding in New York City. A larger celebration took place on April 2, 2022, in Mexico.
On August 26, 2024, Sheryl announced she was expecting a baby. On September 1, she shared that she was going to have a girl. Their daughter, Remi, was born on November 16, 2024.
