Shondrella Dupre Avery is an American actress, model, and comedian. She is known for her role as LaFawnduh Lucas-Dynamite in the movie Napoleon Dynamite (2004). She also had important roles in films like Domino (2005) and The Secret Life of Bees (2008).

Early Life and Growing Up
Shondrella Avery was born in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in South Central Los Angeles. She is the oldest of ten children in her family. Her experiences growing up in a large family inspired her one-woman show called "Ain't I Enough," which was shown on HBO.
She went to the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Later, she studied at California State University, Los Angeles, where she earned her degree in Fine Arts.

Avery started her career as a comedian. She performed with famous comedy groups like The Groundlings in Los Angeles and The Second City in Chicago. She and her family also helped create places for new comedians to practice in Los Angeles County.
