Shueyville's Story: How It Began

Shueyville was started in 1855 by a man named Jacob Shuey. He moved here from Virginia. When the town first began, it was mostly Jacob Shuey and his family living there. Mr. Shuey also gave land for a school called Western College. This college later became known as Leander Clark College.
