Stacy Landis, known by his stage name Skatterman (pronounced Scātterman), is an American rapper from Kansas City, Missouri. He has been making music since 1999 and is known for his unique style.

Skatterman's Music Journey
Early Career and Groups
Skatterman started rapping as a teenager. He first made music with a group called Southside Rollers in 1999. In high school, he met another rapper named Snug Brim. They became good friends and worked together for a long time.
Their album, Worth a Million, released in 2001, caught the attention of Tech N9ne. Tech N9ne is a famous rapper who owns a record label called Strange Music. Skatterman and Snug Brim signed with Strange Music and worked with them for seven years.
Going Solo and New Directions
In 2009, Skatterman and Snug Brim decided to leave Strange Music. They wanted to try new things with their music and how it was shared. After leaving, they released a mixtape called This is Kansas City, which was very popular.
The group later separated in 2010. In 2011, Skatterman started his own record label, "BiggShot Music and Films". He then released his first solo mixtape/album, The Cook Book: Recipe 1. This allowed him to create a new sound and share more personal stories through his music. He followed up with The Cook Book: Recipe 2 in 2012.
Skatterman has been featured on many songs. He appeared on 15 songs across 13 Strange Music albums. These albums have sold over 3 million copies together. One popular song he was featured on is "Riot Maker" from Tech N9ne's Everready album. Skatterman and Snug Brim also had a song called "Murder By #s" on the B.E.E.F. Movie Soundtrack.
Skatterman continues to make music that changes and grows. In 2018, he released a song called "No Time Outs" with Snug Brim. This made fans wonder if they would make more music together in the future.
Skatterman and Snug Brim Duo
Skatterman & Snug Brim was a rap duo from Kansas City, Missouri. They are well-known for their song "Block Party."
After releasing music on their own, Skatterman (Stacy Dewayne Landis) and Snug Brim (Aaron R. Henderson) formed a group. Their first album as a duo, Worth A Million, came out in 2002. They were first called "Skatterman & Snug Brim, AKA Yung Gunz." However, they later dropped the "Yung Gunz" name because another group had a similar name.

Strange Music is a record label founded in 1999. It was started by Travis O'Guin and rapper Tech N9ne. Travis was a businessman who wanted to get into the music industry. He was a fan of Tech N9ne's music.
Travis offered Tech N9ne a chance to start his own label. They agreed to share everything equally, with Travis as president and Tech N9ne as vice president.
In 2002, Skatterman and Snug Brim were the first group to officially sign with Strange Music. They recorded an album called Urban Legendz, which was released in 2004. A song from that album, "Block Party," became very popular.
Their next album, Word on tha Streets, was released in 2008. ..... Other artists like Tech N9ne and Paul Wall were featured on the album.
On February 9, 2009, it was announced that Skatterman & Snug Brim had decided to leave Strange Music. They had completed their agreement to release two albums with the label.

After leaving Strange Music in early 2009, Skatterman and Snug Brim announced they had started their own independent record label. They named it Bigg Shot Music & Films.
They had plans to release a new Skatterman & Snug Brim album called Perseverance. However, these plans changed because Snug Brim decided to go back to school.
With "BIGGSHOT Music & Films", Skatterman released his first solo mixtape, This is Kansas City; Vol. 1, in 2010. He also released his solo albums, The Cookbook; Recipe One, and The Cook Book: Recipe Two in 2012. These albums gave fans more insight into his life and music journey.
