It is known as a census-designated place (CDP), which means it's an area identified by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistical purposes. In 2020, about 671 people lived there. Solana is found on the eastern side of Punta Gorda. You can find it by looking at its coordinates: 26.940277 degrees North and -82.029368 degrees West.
Getting to Solana
The community is right next to Interstate 75, a major highway. You can get there easily from Exit 164, which connects to U.S. Route 17. If you travel on I-75, Solana is about 26 miles (42 km) north of the Fort Myers area. It is also about 30 miles (48 km) southwest of the edge of Venice.
