The South West Land Division is a very important area in Western Australia. It's one of five main parts that help organize the land for official use. This division includes many of Western Australia's biggest cities and most populated areas.

Where is the South West Land Division?
This division covers a large part of the southwestern corner of Western Australia. It includes major cities like Perth, which is the state capital. Other important cities found here are Albany, Bunbury, Busselton, Geraldton, and Mandurah.
Regions within the Division
The South West Land Division is made up of several smaller regions. These include the South West and Great Southern areas. It also covers the Peel region and most of the Wheatbelt. The coastal parts of the Mid West are also part of this division.
Population of the Division
Most people who live in Western Australia call the South West Land Division home. About 2.2 million people live here in total. A huge number, around 1.8 million, live in the capital city, Perth.
People in Regional Areas
Outside of Perth, about 400,000 people live in the other cities and country areas within this division. This means that about 92% of all the people in Western Australia live in this one division. The rest of the state has about 200,000 people. Most of these live in regional towns like Broome, Esperance, Kalgoorlie–Boulder, Karratha, and Port Hedland.
