The South Fork Alsea River is a river in Oregon, a state in the United States. It flows into the Alsea River. The river starts northeast of Horton. This area is on the east side of the Central Oregon Coast Range.

The South Fork Alsea River flows mainly to the northwest. It continues until it reaches a spot near Alsea. Here, it meets the North Fork Alsea River. Together, they form the main part of the Alsea River.

This river is known as a good-sized stream. It is about 40 feet (12 m) wide on average. It is an excellent place to fish for wild cutthroat trout. You can also find steelhead fish here. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) takes care of much of the land around the river.
