The town of South Kumminin grew up around a railway line. This railway connects Kondinin to Merredin.

  • Later that same year, the name was changed to South Kumminin.
  • In 1918, people started planning out the land for homes and businesses.
  • Finally, in 1921, South Kumminin was officially recognized as a town. This is called being gazetted.
