Spring Creek is a small stream located in southern Missouri. It flows through parts of Douglas and Howell counties. This creek is found in the beautiful Ozarks region.

About Spring Creek

Spring Creek is an important natural waterway. It helps drain water from the land around it. The creek is known for its clear waters. It is a typical example of streams found in the Ozarks.

Where Spring Creek Starts

Spring Creek begins in Howell County. It forms where two smaller streams meet. These are called the North Fork Spring Creek and the South Fork Spring Creek. This meeting point is about 2.5 miles west of a place called Burnham. It is also about five miles southwest of Willow Springs. The entire stream flows within the Mark Twain National Forest.

Spring Creek's Journey

From its start, Spring Creek flows mostly to the west and southwest. It passes under a road known as Missouri Route AP. The creek then enters Douglas County. This happens near the Noblett Lake Recreation Area.

As it continues, Spring Creek gets more water from other streams. One of these is Noblett Creek. The creek also gets water from many natural springs. These springs feed the stream as it flows past the community of Roosevelt.

Where Spring Creek Ends

Spring Creek eventually flows under Missouri Route 14. This is near the junction with Route 181 at a spot called Twin Bridges. Finally, Spring Creek joins a larger river. This river is the North Fork River. The meeting point is just north of the border between Douglas and Ozark counties.
