St. Charles is a city located in Madison County, Iowa, in the United States. In 2020, 640 people lived there. It is part of the larger Des Moines–West Des Moines area.

History of St. Charles
St. Charles was first planned out in 1852. It got its name from the city of St. Charles, Missouri. The community officially became a city in 1876.
In 2018, St. Charles became the new home for the "Big Country Bash." This is a popular country music festival. Before this, the festival was held in Des Moines.
