Stephen Trevon Hill (born April 25, 1991) is a former professional football player. He played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Stephen played college football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The New York Jets chose him in the 2012 NFL draft. He also played for the Carolina Panthers, Toronto Argonauts, and Atlanta Legends.

Early Life and Sports Talents
Stephen Hill went to Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, Georgia. Experts thought he was a promising football player. He was ranked among the top wide receivers in his class.
Besides football, Stephen was also a talented track athlete. He ran for his high school and later for Georgia Tech. In high school, he set a new state record in the long jump. He jumped 7.84 meters, which was a great achievement. This jump was even better than a previous record held by an NCAA champion. He also won a state championship in the 300-meter hurdles.
College Football Career
Stephen attended Georgia Tech from 2009 to 2011. He studied sociology while playing football. During his college career, he caught 49 passes. These catches gained him 1,248 yards and nine touchdowns.
After three successful years, Stephen decided to enter the 2012 NFL draft. He chose to leave college a year early to pursue his dream of playing professional football.

Before the NFL draft, players show off their skills at events like the NFL Combine. Stephen Hill performed very well. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds, which is very fast. He also showed off his jumping ability and strength.

At Georgia Tech's Pro Day, Stephen impressed NFL scouts even more. He showed he could catch passes and run routes well. Many thought he was one of the best wide receivers available in the 2012 NFL Draft.
Playing for the New York Jets
The New York Jets picked Stephen Hill in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. They even traded up to get him. He signed a four-year contract with the team.
Stephen started his first professional game on September 9, 2012. He played against the Buffalo Bills. In that game, he caught five passes for 84 yards and scored two touchdowns. This was a fantastic start to his NFL career. Later that season, he got a knee injury and finished the year with 252 yards and three touchdowns.
In 2013, his second season, Stephen played in twelve games. He caught 24 passes for 342 yards and one touchdown. His best game that year was against the Buffalo Bills, where he gained 108 receiving yards. Another knee injury ended his season early in December 2013. The Jets released him in August 2014.
Time with the Carolina Panthers
After leaving the Jets, Stephen joined the Carolina Panthers' practice squad in September 2014. In August 2015, he suffered another serious knee injury, tearing his right ACL. This injury put him on injured reserve.
In February 2016, Stephen's Panthers team played in Super Bowl 50. They faced the Denver Broncos. The Panthers lost the game with a score of 24–10. Stephen was waived by the Panthers in August 2016.
Other Professional Teams
Stephen continued his football career after the NFL. In May 2017, he signed with the Toronto Argonauts in the Canadian Football League.
Later, in August 2018, he signed with the Atlanta Legends. This team was part of the Alliance of American Football. However, he did not make their final roster for the 2019 season.
