Stetson is a town in Penobscot County, Maine, in the United States. In 2020, about 1,186 people lived there.
The town got its name from Amasa Stetson, who was one of its first owners. His brother, Simeon Stetson, also lived in the area for a while. Simeon's sons later became important business and political leaders in the city of Bangor.

Historic Buildings in Stetson
One important old building in Stetson is the Stetson Union Church. It was built in 1843. The church was designed in a style called Greek Revival, which was popular for buildings at that time. It was designed by an architect named Benjamin S. Deane from Bangor. This church is so important that it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
