Stottville is situated along Claverack Creek, which flows into Stockport Creek. It's located at coordinates 42°17′7″N 73°44′53″W / 42.28528°N 73.74806°W. The Stottville CDP covers most of southern Stockport and the northernmost part of Greenport.
To the north of Stottville is the Stockport hamlet. To the south, you'll find Lorenz Park in Greenport. The famous Hudson River is located to the west.
