Stowell is found on the eastern side of Chambers County. It's near the city of Winnie to the north and Jefferson County to the east.
You can reach Stowell using Texas State Highway 124. This highway goes north about 3 miles (5 km) to Interstate 10, which is a major highway. It also goes south about 16 miles (26 km) to High Island on the Gulf of Mexico coast. Another road, Texas State Highway 65, leads west from Stowell about 18 miles (29 km) to Anahuac, which is the main town of Chambers County.
