Subway Surfers is a super popular mobile game where you run forever! It's called an endless runner game. Two companies from Denmark, Kiloo and SYBO Games, made it together. You can play it on many devices like Android phones, iOS devices (like iPhones and iPads), and even Kindle tablets. The game uses a special tool called the Unity game engine to make everything work.
In the game, you play as a young artist who loves to draw graffiti. But oh no! You get caught drawing on a subway train. So, you have to run away from the grumpy inspector and his dog! You run along the train tracks, dodging trains and other things in your way. While you run, you collect shiny gold coins, cool power-ups, and other helpful items. You can even jump on top of trains or use a hoverboard to escape! The game ends if you crash into something, get caught by the inspector, or get hit by a train. There are also special events, like the Season Hunt, where you can win awesome rewards and unlock new characters.

How to Play Subway Surfers
Subway Surfers is an endless runner game, which means you keep running as long as you can! The game starts when your character, usually Jake, sprays some graffiti on a subway train. Then, the inspector and his dog spot you and start chasing!
While running, you need to quickly swipe your finger on the screen:
- Swipe up to jump over obstacles.
- Swipe down to roll under barriers.
- Swipe left or right to move between the three train tracks.
You must avoid crashing into things like moving trains, poles, tunnel walls, and barriers. The faster you swipe and move, the more points you earn! If you crash, it's usually game over. But sometimes, you can use special keys or watch a short ad to keep playing.
Cool Items and Power-ups
As you run, you'll find many helpful items:
- Coins: Collect these to buy new characters and hoverboards.
- Keys: These are rare and let you continue playing after a crash.
- Score Multipliers: These make your score go up much faster!
- Super Sneakers: Jump extra high and far with these.
- Jetpacks: Fly above the tracks for a short time, collecting coins easily.
- Magnets: Attract all the coins near you, even if you don't run right over them.
- Mystery Boxes: Open these for surprise rewards like coins, keys, or character tokens.
- Power Jumpers: These launch you really high into the air!
- Hoverboards: These are super cool! If you hit an obstacle while on a hoverboard, it saves you from crashing. They usually last for about 30 seconds.
Challenges and Rewards
The game also has fun challenges to keep things exciting:
- Daily Challenges: Each day, you can collect letters scattered on the tracks to spell a word, like "JUMP" or "SCORE." Spelling the word gives you rewards.
- Season Hunts: These are special events that happen for a limited time. You complete unique tasks to earn special rewards and unlock new characters or outfits.
- Missions: These are tasks that test your skills, like running a certain distance or collecting a specific number of coins.
You can unlock many different characters and hoverboards in the game. Most characters have different outfits you can choose from. When the game updates to a new city, a new character and hoverboard often appear for a short time!
Game's Journey and Popularity
