Sugar Creek is a small river, or tributary, located in northwestern West Virginia, United States. It flows into Middle Island Creek. Sugar Creek is about 15 miles (24 km) long.

This creek is part of a larger water system. Its water eventually flows into the Ohio River. From there, it joins the mighty Mississippi River. This means Sugar Creek is part of the huge watershed of the Mississippi. It helps drain an area of about 22.1 square miles (57 km2). This area is a rural part of the Allegheny Plateau.

Where Does Sugar Creek Flow?

Sugar Creek starts near a place called Wick. This is in the southwestern part of Tyler County. From there, it flows mostly towards the west.

The creek then enters eastern Pleasants County. Along its journey, it passes through a few small communities. These include Wick and Meadville in Tyler County. It also flows through Twiggs in Pleasants County.

Finally, Sugar Creek meets Middle Island Creek. This meeting point is at a community called Sugar Valley. This spot is about 10.3 miles (16.6 km) upstream from where Middle Island Creek joins the Ohio River. The Ohio River connection happens in St. Marys.
