Sugden is a small town located in Jefferson County, Oklahoma, in the United States. In 2020, only 22 people lived there.
The town started as a ranch around 1874. Two brothers, Joseph D. Sugg and Eli Calvin Sugg, owned the ranch. They opened a store called "Sugg's Den." More people moved nearby, and a small community grew. In November 1893, a post office opened, and the area was officially named Sugden. The post office closed in November 1955.

Where is Sugden Located?
Sugden is in the southwestern part of Jefferson County. Its exact location is 34°4′53″N 97°58′43″W / 34.08139°N 97.97861°W. It is about 8 miles (13 kilometers) south of Waurika, which is the main town in the county. Sugden is also just west of US Route 81, a major road.

The United States Census Bureau says that Sugden covers a total area of about 0.23 square miles (0.60 square kilometers). All of this area is land. Sugden is on the west side of a valley. This valley has a stream called Beaver Creek. Beaver Creek flows south and eventually joins the Red River.
