Post Office Opening
The Surrey Downs Post Office opened its doors on October 13, 2000. Before that, the local mail was handled by the Fairview Park office, which had been open since 1965.

Since October 2006, the 541G bus route has also made longer stops at the bus interchange located at the Golden Grove Village. These bus services are operated by Adelaide Metro.
Future Transport Ideas
There have been talks about extending the Adelaide O-Bahn to Golden Grove. The O-Bahn is a special busway that helps buses travel faster. However, the exact path this extension might take from the Tea Tree Plaza Interchange is not yet known. It seems less likely now, as plans for a new bus hub in Golden Grove are moving forward. This new hub will use regular street routes for buses.
