Modbury Heights is a suburb located in Adelaide, South Australia. It's nestled in the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges. This area is about 16 kilometers (10 miles) northeast of Adelaide's city center. Most of Modbury Heights is made up of homes, but there's also a small shopping area on Ladywood Road.
The suburb has clear boundaries. To the north, it's bordered by Grenfell Road. Milne Road forms its southern edge. Mcintyre Road is to the west, and Golden Grove Road is to the east. Ladywood Road cuts right through the middle of the suburb. Modbury Heights is surrounded by other suburbs like Wynn Vale to the north and northwest, Surrey Downs to the northeast, and Fairview Park to the east. To the south, you'll find Modbury North, while Para Hills is to the west, and Redwood Park is to the southeast.

History of Modbury Heights
The Modbury Heights area was first settled by European people in 1857. However, most of the building and development you see today didn't start until the 1970s. At that time, it grew as a new residential area extending north from central Modbury.
Who Lives in Modbury Heights?
In 2006, a census counted 5,601 people living in Modbury Heights. About half of the people were female. Most residents (around 75%) were born in Australia. Over 90% of the people living here are Australian citizens. When it comes to beliefs, about 20% of the population identified as Catholic. A slightly larger group, about 28%, said they didn't identify with any religion.
