Akintade Ogidan, known as Tade Ogidan (born in July 1960), is a famous Nigerian screenwriter, producer, and director. He creates movies and TV shows.

Early Life and Education
Tade Ogidan was born in Lagos, Nigeria, in July 1960. His parents, Akinola and Rachael Ogidan, were middle-class. He grew up in Surulere, a part of Lagos State.
He went to elementary school in Surulere, Lagos, in the 1960s and 1970s. He attended Government Demonstration School and Surulere Baptist School. For secondary school, he went to Ekiti Parapo College in Ido-Ekiti from 1972 to 1974. He finished high school at Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School in Ikeja, Lagos, in 1978.
After high school, Ogidan studied at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, USA, starting in 1979. He also spent some time at the State University of New York in Buffalo, USA.
Working in Television
From 1982 to 1983, Tade Ogidan completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. This is a special service required by the Nigerian government for young graduates. He worked at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in Lagos.
After his NYSC, he became a full-time Producer/Director at NTA Channel 10. He also worked as a Continuity Announcer at NTA 2 - Channel 5. He spent eight years working for the Nigerian Television Authority.
At NTA, he produced and directed many popular TV shows. These included PLAY OF THE WEEK, TELE THEATRE, LEGAL ANGLE, and THE NEW VILLAGE HEADMASTER. He also worked on special drama projects for NTA National Network. Some of his famous episodes were Blinking Hope, The Boys Next Door, and To Save a Falling Angel. One of his drama projects, THE REIGN OF ABIKU, won several awards in 1986.
He also helped with the magazine show SUNNY SIDE OF LIFE.
Making Movies
In 1990, Tade Ogidan left NTA to start his own company, OGD PICTURES, LTD. The name "OGD" comes from his last name, Ogidan. Since then, he has written, produced, and directed many successful movies.

TV Commercials
OGD PICTURES has also created many TV commercials for different companies. They made ads for banks like Crystal Bank, First Bank, and FCMB. They also made commercials for products like ABC Wax, Royco, Maggi, Ajinomoto Seasoning, and Close Up Toothpaste. They even worked with airlines like Nigeria Airways and Arik Air.
Big Live Events
Tade Ogidan and his OGD team have organized major live events. In 2013, they put together the Lagos State Governor's Education Awards. This was a big music show where over 100 high school students from Lagos performed. They performed alongside famous Nigerian movie stars like Femi Adebayo, Iya Awero, Yomi Fash Lanso, Sola Sobowale, Ireti Osayemi, Gideon Okeke, and Faithia Balogun.
They also organized the 2014 Lagos State Governor's Education Awards. This event was a live musical drama. More than 200 Lagos State high school students performed with TV and movie stars. Some of these stars included Bimbo Manuel, Sola Sobowale, Patience Ozokwor, Hafiz Oyetoro (Saka), Femi Adebayo, Gloria Young, and Lepacious Bose.
OGD All Stars Music Project
While working on the music for his movie Madam Dearest, Tade Ogidan started a unique music project. He brought together many film and TV stars to create songs and music videos. This project was called OGD ALL STARS. It was one of the first of its kind in Nigeria.
