Dequartavous "Tae" Crowder (born March 12, 1997) is an American professional football player. He plays as a linebacker for the Birmingham Stallions in the United Football League (UFL). Before joining the UFL, he played college football at Georgia. He was chosen by the New York Giants as the very last pick in the 2020 NFL draft. This made him that draft's "Mr. Irrelevant," a special title for the final player selected.

Tae Crowder's College Football Journey
Tae Crowder started his college football career at the University of Georgia in 2015. He spent his first year as a "redshirt" player, meaning he practiced with the team but didn't play in games. In 2016, he changed his playing position from running back to inside linebacker.
Key Moments at Georgia
In 2017, Crowder played an important role on special teams. He helped the Georgia Bulldogs reach the national championship game. Between 2018 and 2019, he made 48 tackles, showing his skill in stopping opponents. He was also one of 12 finalists for the Butkus Award, which is given to the best linebacker in college football. During his time at Georgia, Crowder made a total of 115 tackles.

Playing for the New York Giants
Starting in the NFL (2020)
The New York Giants picked Tae Crowder as the 255th and final player in the 2020 NFL draft. This made him the "Mr. Irrelevant" of that year's draft. He joined his former college coach, Kevin Sherrer, who was also with the Giants.
Crowder faced a hamstring injury early in his first season. However, he made a big play in Week 6 against the Washington Football Team. He recovered a fumble and ran it 43 yards for a touchdown, helping his team win 20–19. Later that season, in Week 13, he got his first career sack against Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks.
Leading the Team in Tackles (2021)
In 2021, Crowder had a fantastic season. In Week 12, he made his first career interception against Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles. He started all 17 games that season and led the Giants with a career-high 130 tackles. He also had 2 interceptions and 1 forced fumble.
Changes in 2022
In 2022, Crowder started the season as a key linebacker for the Giants. He recorded 7 tackles in the first game against the Tennessee Titans. However, later in the season, the Giants decided to make changes to their linebacker lineup. Crowder was waived by the team in December 2022. He had started eight games and made 43 tackles for the Giants that season.
Moving to Other NFL Teams
After leaving the Giants, Crowder signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in December 2022. He was with them for a few months before being released in May 2023.
In August 2023, he signed with the Los Angeles Chargers. However, he was waived just seven days later as teams finalized their rosters.
Later in December 2023, Crowder joined the practice squad of the Tennessee Titans. He became a free agent when his contract ended at the close of the season.
