Tangi Miller (born February 28, 1970) is an American actress, model, director, and dancer. She is best known for playing Elena Tyler on the popular TV show Felicity. Tangi has been nominated for two NAACP Image Awards, which celebrate achievements by people of color in arts and entertainment. Since the mid-2000s, she has also worked on independent films as a producer and director.

Tangi Miller's Early Life
Tangi Miller grew up in Miami, Florida. She was the oldest of six children. Her parents had strong religious beliefs, so she and her siblings were not allowed to watch television.
Tangi started acting in plays when she was in high school. Even though she loved acting, she didn't plan to make it her career. Instead, she chose to study marketing at Alabama State University.
After graduating, Tangi realized she spent all her free time acting. So, she decided to follow her passion. She earned a Master's degree in Fine Arts from the University of California, Irvine. She also studied acting in London at the Royal National Theatre and at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
Tangi Miller's Acting Career
Tangi Miller started her acting career with roles on TV shows like Arli$$ (1996) and Michael Hayes (1997). She became famous when she joined the cast of Felicity (1998−2002). On the show, she played Elena Tyler, a smart and stylish pre-med student. For her work on Felicity, Tangi was nominated for an NAACP Image Award in 2002. She also appeared as a dancer in Ol' Dirty Bastard's music video for "Got Your Money" in 1999.
Tangi played the main character in the BET movie Playing with Fire. She also starred with Mekhi Phifer in the independent film The Other Brother (2002). In 2001, she played Stephanie, the wife of MC Hammer, in the VH1 movie Too Legit: The MC Hammer Story. Tangi was also the lead in Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood and played Donna in Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion (2006).
In 2002, she played the daughter of Claudette Wyms (CCH Pounder) on The Shield. In 2005, she received her second NAACP Image Award nomination for her role in the sci-fi film Phantom Force. Tangi also made guest appearances on crime dramas like The District (2003) and The Division (2004). She also appeared on the sitcom Half & Half (2005).
After Madea's Family Reunion, Tangi has mainly acted in independent films. Some of these include Hurricane in the Rose Garden, Guardian of Eden, Hollywood Chaos, and Diva Diaries.
Tangi Miller as Producer and Director
Besides acting, Tangi Miller has also worked behind the scenes. She produced the Ghanaian film Police Officer 3 and the 2008 film After School. In 2006, she produced her third film, Love & Other 4 Letter Words.
Tangi made her debut as a director in 2017 with the film Diva Diaries. She also produced and co-starred in this movie. Diva Diaries was first shown at the Pan African Film Festival in 2017.
