How She Started

Doruntina Shala was born into an Albanian family in Prizren. In 2016, she tried out for a talent show, which helped her start her journey in music.

Her big break came in 2018 with her songs "Columbiana" and "Shqipe." These songs became number-one hits in Albania and made her a star. In August of that year, she performed at the Sunny Hill Festival in Pristina. She shared the stage with famous artists like Action Bronson, Martin Garrix, and Dua Lipa.

Later in 2018, she released the song "Aje" with another popular rapper, Ledri Vula. By the end of the year, a TV show in Kosovo named her the "Personality of the Year."

Becoming a Bigger Star

In 2019, Tayna continued to release hit songs. Her single "Ring Ring" was a top-ten hit in Albania. She followed it with more successful songs like "Kce" and "Caliente."

She also worked with other well-known artists. Her song "Pasite" with rappers Lyrical Son and MC Kresha reached number one in Albania. Another number-one hit was "Bye Bye," a collaboration with singer Dafina Zeqiri. This song's music video has been watched over 84 million times on YouTube.

Recent Success

In 2020, Tayna worked with rapper Mozzik on the song "Edhe ti". It was a big hit in both Albanian and German-speaking areas. That same year, she signed a contract with Sony Music, a major international record label.

In 2021, she released "Moona" with French-Algerian rapper L'Algérino. She also worked with German-Albanian rapper Azet on the song "Ti harro." That year, she was chosen to be the face of a summer clothing collection for a German streetwear brand.

Tayna released her first album, Bipolar, in 2023. The first song from the album was "Heroinat," which she dedicated to Albanian women.

In June 2024, Tayna's song “Si Ai” became a huge hit. It went viral on TikTok and brought her many new fans. The song is her most popular one on Spotify, with over 67 million streams.
