Teaticket is a special kind of community called a census-designated place (CDP). It is located in the town of Falmouth, in the state of Massachusetts. In 2020, about 1,663 people lived there.
The name "Teaticket" comes from an old word used by the Wampanoag people. Their word was "Tataket," which means "at the main tidal stream." This name fits well because Teaticket is close to the water.
Where is Teaticket?
Teaticket is in the southern part of the town of Falmouth. It sits between two other communities: East Falmouth to the east and Falmouth to the west.
A main road, Massachusetts Route 28, runs through the middle of Teaticket. South of this road, the community stretches out like a narrow piece of land. It has Great Pond on its east side and Little Pond on its west side. This area reaches all the way to Vineyard Sound, which is a body of water. The neighborhood called Maravista is located in this part of Teaticket.
Teaticket covers a total area of about 3.5 square kilometers (1.35 square miles). Most of this area is land, about 2.7 square kilometers (1.05 square miles). The rest, about 0.8 square kilometers (0.29 square miles), is water.
