Ted Robbins, born Edward Michael Robbins on August 11, 1955, is a famous English actor, comedian, and TV and radio host. He is known for making people laugh and for his many roles on television.
Ted has been a warm-up artist for many comedy shows filmed in front of a live audience. He also provided the voiceover for the game show Catchphrase for a few years. You might recognize him from Little Britain, where he was also a warm-up man.
One of his most famous roles was as Den Perry, the "villain" in Peter Kay's comedy series Phoenix Nights. He also played the Governor in The Slammer. More recently, he appeared in Benidorm as Victor St. James and in Hank Zipzer as Bob Bing The Sausage King. In 2020, he joined the cast of the fun show Crackerjack! as one of the "Crackerjack Players."

Ted's Life and Interests
Ted Robbins is a big fan of sports. He supports Rossendale RUFC, a rugby club where his son, Jack, used to play. He also cheers for Wrexham AFC, just like his father did.
Ted cares a lot about animals. He is the President of Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, a special place in Edenfield, Lancashire, that helps animals.

Ted comes from a talented family! His sisters, Kate and Amy Robbins, are also actresses. He is also a cousin of the famous musician Paul McCartney from The Beatles. His grandfather, who was also named Ted Robbins, was important in football history. He worked for the Football Association of Wales for many years.

Ted Robbins has performed in many pantomimes, which are fun, musical plays often performed around Christmas. He has played roles in Cinderella and Aladdin at different theaters, including the Charter Theatre in Preston and the Plaza Cinema in Stockport.
A Health Scare
In 2015, Ted had a health scare while performing on stage during the Phoenix Nights Live tour. He had a cardiac arrest, which means his heart stopped suddenly. Luckily, he has recovered well since then and has even lost weight to stay healthy.
