Teen Titans: Trouble in Tokyo is an exciting animated movie from 2006. It's based on the popular DC Comics superhero team, the Teen Titans. This film acts as the big finale for the Teen Titans TV show, which aired on Cartoon Network from 2003 to 2006. Get ready for an adventure as the Teen Titans travel all the way to Tokyo, Japan!

The Teen Titans' Tokyo Adventure

The Teen Titans' home city, Jump City, is attacked by a Japanese ninja named Saico-Tek. The Titans manage to capture him. Before he mysteriously disappears, Saico-Tek mentions a person called "Brushogun."

To find this mysterious master, the Titans decide to travel to Tokyo, Japan. When they arrive, they face a language barrier and even fight a giant reptile! They soon meet Tokyo's own superhero group, the Tokyo Troopers, led by Commander Uehara Daizo. When asked about Brushogun, Daizo says he's just an old story, an urban legend. With no villains to chase, the Titans try to enjoy their time in Tokyo.

Robin's Investigation and Starfire's Feelings

Robin and Starfire start to show their feelings for each other. They almost share a kiss, but Robin suddenly gets focused on finding Brushogun again. This makes Starfire upset.

Robin decides to investigate alone. He is attacked by Saico-Tek again and defeats the ninja. But when Saico-Tek doesn't get up, Daizo arrests Robin, thinking he killed him. Meanwhile, a little girl comforts Starfire. This helps Starfire realize that her feelings for Robin are real, even if he seems busy.

The Titans Regroup

The Mayor of Tokyo announces Robin's arrest. He orders the other Teen Titans to either surrender or leave Tokyo. Starfire calls the other Titans to regroup. As they try to meet up, Brushogun sends his ink-made minions to attack them.

While Robin is being moved to a more secure prison, a piece of paper with "Brushogun" written on it causes an explosion, freeing him. Robin then pretends to be a street person to gather information. He learns that Brushogun is indeed real. The Tokyo Troopers find Robin, leading to a car chase. Just as Robin is surrounded, Starfire arrives to rescue him.

Uncovering Brushogun's Secret

Starfire takes Robin to a quiet shrine. They try to kiss again, but Cyborg, Raven, and Beast Boy suddenly burst in! Raven has found an old book. It says that Brushogun was an artist who dreamed of bringing his drawings to life using dark magic. The spell backfired, turning him into Brushogun, a being made of paper and ink. He could bring anything he imagined to life, but then he disappeared. Robin realizes he didn't kill Saico-Tek because Saico-Tek was made of ink. This means Robin was framed to look like a criminal.

The Titans follow Brushogun's trail to a comic book publishing factory. There, they discover Brushogun is trapped and connected to a cursed printing press. This machine uses his powers to create all the enemies the Titans have been fighting. Brushogun reveals that he sent the first Saico-Tek to Jump City to get the Titans' attention. He wanted them to come to Tokyo to stop the real villain who had enslaved him. The true culprit is revealed to be Daizo! Daizo used Brushogun's power to create both his Tokyo Troopers and the monsters they "captured." This made Daizo look like a hero.

The Final Battle and Victory

Daizo appears and forces Brushogun to create an army of animated ink minions. A huge battle begins, with Robin facing Daizo. With no way out, Daizo jumps into the ink of the press. He takes control of Brushogun's magic, turning himself into a giant monster made of ink and machinery, with Brushogun trapped inside.

While the other Titans fight the creatures Daizo throws at them, Robin manages to free Brushogun. When Brushogun is freed, Daizo loses control of his power and explodes. Sadly, Brushogun dies peacefully in Robin's arms, his powers fading away, and Daizo is defeated. With the battle over, Robin and Starfire finally share their very first kiss.

Later, Robin's name is cleared, and Daizo is sent to prison. The mayor and the people of Tokyo honor the Titans for their heroic actions. Robin and Starfire hold hands. Beast Boy asks Robin if they have to go home, but Robin says maybe they need a vacation. Beast Boy then suggests Mexico for their next trip, which makes Raven playfully slap him.

As the movie's credits roll, the Titans sing a funny, literally translated version of their Japanese theme song to celebrate their victory!
