The Night Begins to Shine

Teen Titans Go! is a fun American animated television series that first aired on Cartoon Network on April 23, 2013. It was created by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic. The show is based on the Teen Titans superhero team from DC Comics.

This series is a spin-off of the original Teen Titans show, but it has a different cartoon style and is mostly about comedy. It doesn't really follow the story of the old show or other DC Comics stories. Many other DC characters show up for quick appearances or are mentioned in the background. The actors who voiced the characters in the first Teen Titans show also voice them in Teen Titans Go!. The show is all about what the Titans do when they're just hanging out at their tower.

A movie based on the show, called Teen Titans Go! To the Movies, came out in theaters on July 27, 2018. In 2021, Cartoon Network announced a new spin-off series based on the popular "Night Begins to Shine" episodes. In 2023, it was confirmed that Teen Titans Go! will have a ninth season with 52 new episodes!

What is Teen Titans Go! About?

Teen Titans Go! follows the funny adventures of five young superheroes: Beast Boy, Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire. They live together in Jump City. When they're not saving the world, they're just being teenagers without adults around.

Unlike many superhero shows, Teen Titans Go! is very silly and often makes fun of superhero situations. For example, they might cause huge problems with simple jokes, try to get a driver's license after crashing the Batmobile, or try to clean their superhero suits after a messy fight. The show often features characters from the original Teen Titans series, but they might act a bit more over-the-top. The show also includes more references to the wider DC Universe, like the Justice League, and sometimes even Batman and Commissioner Gordon appear in funny ways.

The show is full of inside jokes about DC Comics and even jokes about itself. You might need to watch closely to catch them all!

Episodes of Teen Titans Go!

At first, episodes were made in pairs, with two 11-minute stories sharing one opening and closing. But later, each 11-minute story became its own episode. Even so, the first two seasons were often shown internationally with episodes still grouped in pairs.
