Thelumusa Samuel Owen (born on April 12, 1991), known as Tellaman, is a talented singer, songwriter, and music producer from South Africa. He grew up loving music and is famous for being featured on the number one song "Mayo" by DJ Speedsta. This hit song also featured Yung Swiss, Frank Casino, and Shane Eagle.

Tellaman's Early Life and Music Journey
Tellaman was born and grew up in Durban, a city in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. He taught himself how to make music. His mom helped him discover his love for music by having him sing at home, at church, and in a youth choir. When he was fifteen, Tellaman decided he wanted to make music his career. He started writing and recording his own songs.
Tellaman's First Music Deals
Tellaman signed with Soul Candi Records. He was featured on their album called Soul Candi Sessions 15. This album also included other artists like MoFlava and Lulo Café. Tellaman's part of the album, titled Ntsikelelo, had popular songs. The album sold very well, reaching Gold status. It was also nominated for an award at the 2015 Metro FM Awards.
In June 2016, Tellaman released his EP (which is like a mini-album) called Mind Vs Heart. He followed this with another EP, Lucid Dreams, in February 2017. On May 18, 2018, he signed a record deal with Universal Music South Africa. His first official song with them was "No Sharing", released on July 13, 2018.
Tellaman's Albums and International Deals
On February 1, 2019, Tellaman released his fourth album, God Decides, through Universal Music South Africa. Some of the main songs from this album were "No Sharing", "Crew Lit", and "Practice". Later in 2019, on November 29, Tellaman signed international deals with Motown Records and Virgin EMI Records. In May 2020, he also signed a record deal with Def Jam Recordings Africa.
