Terence Cooper was born in 1933 in Carnmoney, a town in Northern Ireland. He started his career as a stage actor, performing in plays. Later, he appeared in British TV shows like The Buccaneers and The Adventures of William Tell.
His Big Movie Role
Terence Cooper is most famous for being in the 1967 movie Casino Royale. This film was a funny take on the James Bond stories. It was based on Ian Fleming's first Bond book. The movie's producer, Charles K. Feldman, kept Cooper under contract for two years before filming began. Cooper also once said he was considered for the role of James Bond in an earlier movie idea.
