Esther Van Ginderen-Verbeeck (born September 8, 1931 – died January 30, 2018) was a famous Belgian television presenter. Many people knew her as Tante Terry, which means Aunt Terry. She was well-known for hosting children's TV shows.

Aunt Terry often worked with Bob Davidse, who was known as Nonkel Bob (Uncle Bob). They were a popular duo on television. Their most famous show together was called Kom Toch Eens Kijken.

Life and Television Career

Esther Van Ginderen-Verbeeck was born in Hoboken, Antwerp, Belgium. In 1954, she started working for the first Flemish TV channel, which was called the NIR. This was like the main public TV station in Flanders back then.

As "Aunt Terry," she became a beloved face for children. She presented the show Kom Toch Eens Kijken (Come Take a Look) with "Uncle Bob." From 1961, she also hosted another popular children's show called Klein Klein Kleutertje (Little Little Toddler) for eighteen years. This show was very popular with young children.

After leaving her TV job in 1979, Aunt Terry became a businesswoman. She used her skills in a different way.

In 1989, a new commercial TV channel called VTM started in Flanders. Aunt Terry returned to television to host children's programs for them. She also appeared as a judge on game shows, which are fun competitions on TV. In 1992, she even became the manager for a young singer named Silvy Melody.

Later Years and Legacy

When Aunt Terry turned 75 in 2006, she was honored at the Antwerp City Hall. This showed how much people appreciated her work.

She continued to be active, presenting fashion shows and performing for older people. Aunt Terry passed away in Bonheiden at the age of 86. She died from pneumonia, which is a lung infection. She left behind many happy memories for generations of children and families in Flanders.
