The Addams Family is an American animated sitcom from 1973. It was made by Hanna-Barbera Productions. The show is based on the famous cartoons by Charles Addams.

Some actors from the 1960s live-action Addams Family TV show returned to voice characters. Jackie Coogan voiced Uncle Fester, and Ted Cassidy voiced Lurch. A young Jodie Foster, who was 11 years old at the time, also voiced Pugsley Addams. The theme music for this cartoon was new. It didn't have lyrics or the famous finger snapping, but it kept a little bit of the original tune.

About the Show

The Addams Family is a very unusual and close-knit family. The main members are Gomez and Morticia Addams, their children Wednesday and Pugsley. Also living with them are Grandmama, Uncle Fester, Thing (a disembodied hand), Cousin Itt, and their butler Lurch.

The family has strange interests and some supernatural powers. The show doesn't explain where their powers come from. In this series, the Addams family travels across the United States. They drive their special Victorian-style "Creepy Camper," which looks just like their spooky mansion!

As they travel, they visit many different places. Because of their odd ways and interests, they often accidentally cause trouble. They also tend to trust people they shouldn't. Sometimes, they even get caught up in criminal plans without even knowing it!
