The Adventures of Blinky Bill is a fun animated TV show from Australia. It's based on the popular books by Dorothy Wall about a mischievous koala named Blinky Bill. This show is a follow-up to the 1992 movie, Blinky Bill: The Mischievous Koala.
The show was made by Yoram Gross's animation studios, Yoram Gross Film Studio and Yoram Gross-EM.TV. They worked with other companies like EM.TV and WDR to bring Blinky's world to life. All the animation for the three seasons and the TV movie was done in Hong Kong. The stories take place in a make-believe Australian town called Greenpatch. The series shows the exciting activities and funny mistakes of Blinky Bill, his family, and his friends.

Blinky Bill's TV Adventures
Season 1: Rebuilding Greenpatch
The first season of The Adventures of Blinky Bill came out in 1993 and had 26 episodes. In these episodes, Blinky Bill and his friends work together to rebuild their town, Greenpatch. It had been destroyed by humans.
They also learn to get along with their new neighbors, the Dingo family. This season first aired on ABC Television in 1993. It's the season that is most like the original books.
Season 2: An Extraordinary Excursion
This season, also known as Blinky Bill's Extraordinary Excursion, came out in 1995 and also had 26 episodes. Blinky Bill and his friends get lost during a school trip in the Australian bush.
As they try to find their way home, they travel across different parts of Australia. They have many adventures and help other animals they meet. These animals include a crocodile, penguins, and even farm and circus animals. This season was shown on ABC Television in Australia.
Season 3: Around the World Adventures
In season 3, called Blinky Bill’s Extraordinary Balloon Adventure or Blinky Bill's Around the World Adventures, Blinky Bill, Nutsy, and Flap go on a big trip. They travel around the world in a hot air balloon.
They have exciting adventures while being chased by two humans, Basil and Cyril, who are circus brothers. They rescue many animals, including Slippery, Leo, Ling-Ling, Tico the toucan, Yoyo, and Penelope. They visit amazing places like Antarctica, the African Plains, China, the Amazon Rainforest, India, and Paris. This season aired on 10 June 2004 on the Seven Network.
Blinky Bill's Christmas Movie
In 2005, a special TV movie called Blinky Bill’s White Christmas was made. It first aired on the Seven Network on 24 December 2005. The movie's theme song, "Christmas in Australia," was sung by Christine Anu.

Blinky Bill also appeared in some fun computer games!
- In 1997, a learning game called "Blinky Bill's Ghost Cave" was created. It was based on a TV episode with the same name.
- In 1999, another learning game called "Blinky Bill and the Magician" was released, also based on an episode.
- There were also three "Play & Learn with Blinky Bill" CDs. These were learning games for different age groups: preschoolers, kindergarteners, and first graders.
Meet the Characters
The show features many memorable characters from the Greenpatch community. Blinky Bill is the main character, a brave and sometimes cheeky koala. His best friends include Nutsy, a female koala, and Flap, a platypus. Together, they face challenges and help others in their Australian bush home.
