Where is The Dawn?
The Dawn is located about 8 kilometers (5 miles) south of Gympie, a larger town. It sits on the western side of the Mary River, which forms its eastern border. A road called Mary Valley Road also runs along part of its western side.

A railway line, once part of the Mary Valley Branch Railway, goes through The Dawn. There used to be a train station here called Dawn railway station.
The area is mostly homes with land, but some parts are used for grazing animals. There are also two hills in The Dawn:
