About the Story
This cartoon is loosely based on the popular movies The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. The story follows the O'Connell family as they are chased around the world. Their enemy is the evil undead High Priest, Imhotep, and his helper, Colin Weasler.
The main goal for the O'Connells is to remove the Manacle of Osiris from Alex's wrist. This magical bracelet is stuck on him. To remove it, they need to find the lost Scrolls of Thebes. However, these scrolls had to be destroyed to stop Imhotep from getting the Manacle.
In the second season, Alex starts training to become a Medjai. The Medjai are ancient protectors. He learns to fight the mummy and other new dangers.

He takes this new responsibility seriously.
- Rick O'Connell (voiced by John Schneider) - Rick is Alex's strong father. He is married to Evy.
- Evy Carnahan (voiced by Grey DeLisle) - Evy is Alex's mother and Rick's wife. Just like in the movie, Evy is the reborn version of the Egyptian Princess Nefertiri.
- Jonathan Carnahan (voiced by Tom Kenny) - Jonathan is Alex's uncle. He is Evy's older brother. He can be clumsy but has a good heart. He is also Rick's brother-in-law.

The Villains
- Imhotep (voiced by Jim Cummings) - Imhotep is the main villain. Long ago, he was a priest who wanted to rule the world. He tried to steal the Manacle of Osiris. The Pharaoh's guards caught him and he was mummified alive. Years later, Colin Weasler brought him back to life. Imhotep wants the Scrolls of Thebes to get the Manacle of Osiris from Alex. He can speak modern English in this show.
- Colin Weasler (voiced by Michael Reisz) - Colin is Imhotep's servant. He used to work with Evy at the museum. Colin is younger than Evy and was often picked on. He wants power and fame. Colin is the one who brings Imhotep back to life. He often acts tough when Imhotep is around. He hopes Imhotep will reward him when he takes over the world.
- Anck-Su-Namun (voiced by Lenore Zann) - She was Imhotep's lover. She was mummified for betraying the Pharaoh. Imhotep brought her back to life. She helped him find the Scythe of Anubis. But she betrayed Imhotep because she didn't want to be his follower. She was sent to the Underworld but returned later. She tried to steal youth from others to become young again.
- Ninzam Toth (voiced by Michael T. Weiss) - Ninzam is a Dark Medjai. He betrayed the other Medjai and was put in prison. After escaping, he wants revenge on all Medjai. Alex, Yanit, and Fadil defeated him, but he keeps coming back.
- Scarab (voiced by René Auberjonois) - This is a giant scarab-like monster. It was sealed inside the Scarab Amulet. Alex and his grandfather accidentally set it free.
- The Rakshasa AKA Tiger-Man (voiced by John DiMaggio) - This is a human-tiger creature from Sri Lanka. It can change its shape. It was captured by Jonathan's friend, Charlie Royce. The beast tricks Jonathan to escape and tries to get the Eye of Shiva.
- Aglaophones (voiced by April Winchell and Kathy Najimy) - These are two female bird-like creatures. Their songs can make any man do what they want. They tried to steal the Cloak of Isis, which makes the wearer very powerful. They were trapped in a wall carving. Colin Weasler freed them, thinking they would serve him.
- The Sphinx - This is a female creature with a griffin's body. Evy had to solve her riddle to defeat her. Imhotep used a time machine to change history. This made Alex lose the Manacle and Tut. Alex traveled back in time to tell Nefertiri the riddle's answer. This helped Evy defeat the Sphinx and fix the timeline.
